The Firm

EBANKS & SATTLER, LLP, a full service law firm dedicated to providing the highest level of legal services to their clients, was founded in 1998 by Alberto Ebanks and Adam Sattler. With over 10 years of varied legal experience between them, the new firm opened its doors at 20 Vesey Street in the heart of downtown Manhattan.

Immediately, the new firm sparked controversy and conversation in the law enforcement and union communities. Mr. Sattler and Mr. Ebanks had successfully represented a multitude of union members while associated with the general counsel of the New York City Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association, the NYPD Detectives Endowment Association, the NYPD Lieutenants’ Benevolent Association, the NYPD Captains’ Endowment Association and Local 100 of the Transport Workers’ Union. Specifically, the future “Ebanks & Sattler” team had achieved favorable results for hundreds of union clients by providing a strong and calculated defense in Criminal and Disciplinary matters, and a tough and tactical approach to Divorce and Family Court cases. Moreover they successfully handled personal injury matters from both the plaintiff’s and defendant’s side, civil rights cases, bankruptcy matters, as well as real estate and decedent estate matters.

Most importantly, on all of their cases, Mr. Ebanks and Mr. Sattler dedicated themselves to servicing all of their clients professionally, courteously and zealously. These qualities are the benchmarks of EBANKS & SATTLER, LLP.

To their credit, Mr. Ebanks and Mr. Sattler have successfully litigated many cases on behalf of their clients, including precedent setting decisions in the areas of administrative law and civil rights litigation. In the area of personal injury law, the firm has settled and litigated cases against many of the largest insurance companies in New York, recovering millions of dollars on behalf of the firm’s clients.

EBANKS & SATTLER continues to practice in the areas of State and Federal Criminal Defense, Family and Matrimonial Law, Auto Accidents, Premises Liability, Civil Rights, Medical Malpractice, Entertainment, Real Estate, Bankruptcy and Decedent’s Estates.
